Psalm 4
When I called upon Him, the God of my justice heard me: when I was in straits,
Thou didst set me at liberty.
Have mercy on me: and hear my prayer.
O ye sons of men, how long will ye be dull of heart? Why do ye love vanity, and
seek after lying?
Know ye also that the Lord hath exalted His holy one: the Lord will hear me when
I cry unto Him.
Be ye angry, and sin not: the things ye say in your hearts, be sorry for upon your beds.
Offer up the sacrifice of justice, and trust in the Lord: many say, Who showeth us
good things?
The light of Thy countenance, O Lord, is signed upon us: Thou hast given gladness
in my heart.
By the fruit of their corn, and wine, and oil: are they multiplied.
In peace in the selfsame: I will sleep and I will rest.
For Thou, O Lord, alone: hast established me in hope.
Glory be to the Father, etc.
Psalm 30
In Thee, O Lord, have I hoped, let me never be confounded: deliver me in Thy
justice.
Bow down Thine ear unto me: make haste to deliver me.
Be Thou unto me a God, a protector: and a house of refuge to save me.
For Thou art my strength and my refuge: and for Thy name’s sake Thou wilt lead
me, and nourish me.
Thou wilt bring me out of this snare, which they have hidden for me: for Thou art
my protector.
Into Thy hands I commend my spirit: Thou hast redeemed me, O Lord, God of truth.
Glory be to the Father, etc.
Psalm 90
He that dwelleth in the help of the most High: shall abide under the protection of
the God of heaven.
He shall say unto the Lord: Thou art my upholder, and my refuge: my God, in Him
will I hope.
For He hath delivered me from the snare of the hunters; and from the sharp word.
He shall overshadow thee with His shoulders: and under His wings shalt thou trust.
His truth shall compass thee with a shield: thou shalt not be afraid for the terror
of the night;
For the arrow that flieth in the day; for the plague that walketh in the darkness; for
the assault of the evil one in the noonday.
A thousand shall fall at thy side, and ten thousand at thy right hand: but it shall
not come nigh thee.
But with thine eyes shalt thou behold: and shalt see the reward of the wicked.
For Thou, O Lord, art my hope: thou hast made the most High thy refuge.
There shall no evil approach unto thee: neither shall the scourge come nigh thy
dwelling.
For He hath given His angels charge over thee: to keep thee in all thy ways.
In their hands they shall bear thee up: lest haply thou dash thy foot against a stone.
Thou shalt walk upon the asp and the basilisk: the lion and the dragon shalt thou
trample underfoot.
Because he hath hoped in Me, I will deliver him: I will protect him because he hath
known My name.
He shall cry unto Me, and I will hear him: I am with him in trouble, I will deliver
him, and I will glorify him.
I will fill him with length of days: and will show him My salvation.
Glory be to the Father, etc.
Psalm 133
Behold, now bless ye the Lord: all ye servants of the Lord.
Ye that stand in the house of the Lord: in the courts of the house of our God.
Lift up your hands by night to the holy places: and bless ye the Lord.
May the Lord bless thee out of Sion: Who hath made heaven and earth.
Glory be to the Father, etc.
Ant. Have mercy on me, O Lord, and hear my prayer.
‡In Paschal time, Ant. Alleluia, Alleluia, Alleluia.
